DDB Crème Rouge Compact for Cheeks, Lips and Eyes

CA$39.00

Cream rouge is in high demand because it delivers instant beauty without requiring any tools for perk-me-up touch-ups. It's an alternative to powder blush that needs a brush for application.

·      DDB Crème Rouge is a compact, cream colour cosmetic. Whether you use it on cheeks, lips and eyes, or solely as a blush, it's available in a spectrum of shades and textures to suit various skin tones and personal preferences.

·      Creamy, non-sticky, and long-lasting formula glides streak-free directly on bare skin and blends easily when layered over foundation, moisturizer or powder.

·      Create a transparent soft wash for a fresh blush of colour, OR build coverage into a radiant full-face flush.

·      Infused with moisturizing plant oils: shea butter, olive oil, jojoba seed oil, vitamin E, and myrrh oil (anti-inflammatory).

·      Fragrance-free.

1.    Press and swirl your middle and ring fingers to pick up a small amount of colour from compact. A little goes a long way.

2.    Warm the colour on the top of your non-working hand.

3.    Lightly tap, stipple and swirl color onto smiling cheeks.

4.    Carefully blend within the blush zone, from apple of the cheek to center of the ear.

5.    Pick up more colour to press and blend onto lips.

6.    Layer DDB Crystal Clear or Luxe Lip Gloss over top for added volume and allure.  https://www.dinodilio.com/ddb-makeup-shop/crystal-clear-lip-shine

In the 1880s, burlesque performers would rouge their lips, cheeks, nipples, and knees with a small pot of cosmetic colour termed “cheeks of a hussy” by the disapproving. Usually, a rosy red colour was used by those with fair complexions and a richer, berry colour by those with darker skin tones. The goal was to make specific elements of the female body "read" to an audience in the back row of theatres and bars as patrons caught illicit glimpses of the performers' legs and other extremities. In the1920s, flapper girls flouted conventional values and fashions; they rolled their stockings just below their rouged kneecaps. You may remember—as I do—a great grandmother pulling a small compact (a "pot") of rouge out of her purse and instantly giving colour to her cheeks. This was followed with a companion lipstick. Like the Queen, that’s all she needed to look and feel pretty!
