Sanitation Practices, Protocols and Policies at Dino Dilio Beauty Studio

In the aesthetics industry, three corporations set the standard for best practices. They are: Milady, Sanitation Conversation and the Barbicide Sanitation and Disease Control Program. I am certified by all three. As well, I have always followed the principles and practices set by the Ontario Ministry of Health. These professional procedures protect both of us, and in context of Covid-19, I've expanded them specifically for studio appointments.

  1. My studio is a private, safe, well ventilated and air-conditioned environment.

  2. I see only one client at a time. Clients are booked 30 minutes apart, one from the other, to ensure complete sanitation.

  3. Hand sanitizer is available in the lobby of the building by the elevators, in my studio and in the rest room.

  4. On rainy days and in winter months, you are welcome to bring slippers or comfortable shoes to change into. Unfortunately, bare-footedness is on the naughty list.

  5. My hands are washed and sanitized before service begins.

  6. I will happily wear a mask (and gloves upon request).

  7. I change into a freshly laundered shirt or smock for each client.

  8. A fresh new set of sanitized brushes are used for each service.

  9. We do not double dip into makeup products, unless they are your own.

  10. I use disposable mascara wands unless the mascara is yours.

  11. You’re welcome to bring your own brushes, but they must be clean and sanitized for your appointment.

  12. Here are some guidelines on Cleaning Your Makeup Brushes before our session.

  13. If you have long hair, please bring along your own hair-band, elastic or clips.

  14. Sterile water is used to moisten skin and activate certain kinds of makeup.

  15. Makeup testers are sanitized after each appointment.

  16. All equipment and surfaces are professionally sanitized between clients, so as to return the studio and bathroom to sterile environments. Trash is emptied after each session.

  17. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Literature about sanitation and disinfecting products are available upon request.

  18. All bookings are secured with a credit card or e-transfer to be received 24 hours before your appointment.

  19. Guests are not permitted. This keeps the focus entirely on you!

  20. Please sanitize your cell phone.
